Softball Game Preview: Brock Eagles vs. Stephenville Yellow Jackets/Honeybees

The Brock Eagles will face off against the Stephenville Yellow Jackets/Honeybees at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Brock will be coming into the contest with an undefeated record on the line.

If Brock beats Stephenville with eight runs on Wednesday, it's going to be the squad's new lucky number: they've won their past two games with that exact score. Brock came out on top against Mineral Wells by a score of 8-3 on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Stephenville didn't have quite enough to beat Graham on Tuesday and fell 5-4.

Stephenville saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Presley Gaitan, who went 1-for-3 with one home run.

Brock pushed their record up to 16-0-2 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Stephenville, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-8-1 record this season.

Brock was able to grind out a solid victory over Stephenville when the teams last played back in March of 2015, winning 3-0. Does Brock have another victory up their sleeve, or will Stephenville turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
