Big Game from Ochoa As Strake Jesuit Won 48-9

Starting off the list is Strake Jesuit's Grayson Ochoa, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Ochoa rushed for 200 yards and four scores on only 12 carries. His longest rush was for an incredible 92 yards.

The victory got Strake Jesuit back to even at 2-2. Ochoa and the Fighting Crusaders will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on George Ranch at 7:00 p.m. on October 3.

John Hebert Turns in Another Game with at Least 118 Rushing Yards

John Hebert's rushing tear continued on Friday as he dropped his 17th-straight game with 118+ rushing yards dating back to last season. He rushed for 197 yards and three TDs on only 12 carries.

Hebert is probably looking forward to his next game, a home matchup against George Ranch on Friday. Back in October of 2024 (the last time Hebert saw the Longhorns), he rushed for 420 yards and five scores while picking up 15.0 yards per carry.

Hayden Drinkard Delivers Electric Performance Vs Bryan

Hayden Drinkard's rushing tear continued on Saturday as he dropped his sixth-straight game with 125+ rushing yards dating back to last season. He rushed for 128 yards and two TDs on only 11 carries.

Drinkard must have Bryan's number; he was a force to be reckoned with the last time he faced them too. Back in September of 2024 (the last time Drinkard saw the Vikings), he rushed for 238 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 15 carries.

Alief Hastings Gets a Boost from Lee in 47-14 Win

Winning always takes teamwork, but on Thursday Jarell Rayshun Lee stepped things up a notch to give Alief Hastings the 'W'. Lee made his presence known, throwing for 222 yards and a pair of TDs while picking up 11.1 yards per attempt, and also rushing for 62 yards on only eight carries.

Alief Hastings' first win this season bumped their record up to 1-3. Looking ahead, Lee and the Bears will welcome Alief Elsik at 7:00 p.m. on the 26th.

Tony Morrison Makes It Two for George Ranch

The second George Ranch player making an appearance here is Tony Morrison, and for good reason. He threw for 172 yards and one touchdown while completing 73.3% of his passes.

This season, Morrison has thrown 4 touchdowns while averaging 154 passing yards per game.
