If Red Springs wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Western Harnett, they should've done a better job of containing Tamara Hayes. The Eagles blew past the Red Devils, posting a 57-22 win thanks in part to Hayes, who went 12-for-26 to rack up 42 points and five rebounds. Her big performance that evening made it six games in a row in which she has scored at least 17 points.

Western Harnett's victory ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-1. As for Red Springs, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Western Harnett will face off against Southern Lee at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles will need to watch out since the Cavaliers have now posted at least 55 points in their last three games. As for Red Springs, they will challenge Lakewood at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
