Recap: Lake Houston HomeSchool Conquerors vs. The Covenant Preparatory School Knights
The Lake Houston HomeSchool Conquerors were the 79-27 winner over The Covenant Preparatory School Knights when they last played one another back in December of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Lake Houston HomeSchool was just a bucket shy of victory on Friday and fell 77-76 to The Covenant Preparatory School. Despite running the score up even higher than they did on Tuesday (68), Lake Houston HomeSchool still had to take the loss.
The Covenant Preparatory School got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Tye Leatherman out in front who scored 18 points along with five steals. Lane Kisslinger was another key contributor, scoring 18 points along with seven rebounds.
Lake Houston HomeSchool now has a losing record at 4-5. As for The Covenant Preparatory School, their victory bumped their record up to 5-1.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lake Houston HomeSchool will take on Kingwood Christian Life Center Academy at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday. Kingwood Christian Life Center Academy will be coming into the game with an undefeated record on the line. As for The Covenant Preparatory School, they will play host again and welcome Shady Acres Christian, where tip off is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Shady Acres Christian's defense has only allowed 27 points per game this season, so The Covenant Preparatory School's offense will have their work cut out for The Covenant Preparatory School.
