Florence Christian can now show off four landslide victories after their most recent match on Thursday. They claimed a resounding 34-0 victory over First Baptist School at home. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as Florence Christian just coasted through the last quarter.
Juels I huntley was his usual excellent self, rushing for 161 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 9.5 yards per carry. I huntley hasn't dropped below 100 rushing yards for seven straight games. Cody Wallace was another key contributor, rushing for 85 yards and a touchdown on only ten carries.
Pee Dee Academy can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. They pulled ahead with a 31-30 photo finish over Northwood Academy. The victory was just what Pee Dee Academy needed coming off of a 38-0 defeat in their prior contest.
Pee Dee Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Miles Trussell, who punched in a rushing score, and also picked up 76 receiving yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Colby Richardson, who picked up 104 receiving yards.
Florence Christian has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 5-4 record this season. As for Pee Dee Academy, their win bumped their record up to 3-6.
Florence Christian and Pee Dee Academy were neck-and-neck in their previous meeting back in November of 2022, but Florence Christian came up empty-handed after a 36-35 loss. Will Florence Christian have more luck at home instead of on the road?
