Basketball Recap: Riverton Comes Up Short

Riverton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. The contest between them and the Girard Trojans didn't end well, with the Riverton Rams falling 40-25. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Trojans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 42-32 back in January.

Riverton's defeat dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Girard, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Riverton will square off against Galena on Tuesday. As for Girard, they will face off against Frontenac on Tuesday. Frontenac will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Girard surely won't give up without a fight.
