Basketball Recap: Grand County Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Grand County can now relate to. They were dealt a 59-16 loss at the hands of the Beaver Beavers on Friday. The match marked the Red Devils' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Despite the defeat, Grand County saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Gemma Phillips posted three points and six rebounds.

This is the second loss in a row for Grand County and nudges their season record down to 14-11. As for Beaver, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-8 record this season.

Grand County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Beaver, they have already played their next match, a 57-49 victory against Duchesne on the 22nd.
