There's no place like home for Burlingame, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Wednesday. They skirted past the Sacred Heart Prep Gators 3-2. This was a revenge game for the Panthers: when they faced off against the Gators last Wednesday, they had to take a 4-1 loss.

Dionisios Vorrises spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on four hits.

At the plate, Burlingame's win was truly a team effort as two different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Grayson Howard, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2. Liam Philibosian also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.

With the victory, Burlingame broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 5-3. As for Sacred Heart Prep, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-6.

Looking ahead, Burlingame will be playing in front of their home fans against Sequoia at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The last three games Sequoia has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Sacred Heart Prep, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 4-3 win against San Lorenzo Valley on the 22nd.
