Basketball Game Preview: Riverside Christian Wranglers vs. Bell Bulldogs

The Riverside Christian Wranglers just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the Bell Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Riverside Christian is coming into the match on a five-game losing streak.

On Monday, Riverside Christian was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 37-32 to Aucilla Christian.

Meanwhile, Bell played a tough contest on Monday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt a 57-18 loss at the hands of Trenton. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 456th, while the Tigers are ranked 80th).

Riverside Christian will have to contain Maddie Smith as she made an impact in Bell's last game. She went 5 for 12 on her way to 13 points and four steals. Smith is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season.

Even though they lost, Bell smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in seven consecutive games.

Riverside Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Bell, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season.

Riverside Christian suffered a grim 47-21 defeat to Bell in their previous matchup back in January. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Smith, who almost dropped a double-double on 29 points and nine steals.
