Basketball Recap: Kearsarge Takes a Loss

Kearsarge and Monadnock squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Kearsarge had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Monadnock Huskies by a score of 48-45. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Cougars have suffered since January 23, 2024.

Kearsarge's loss dropped their record down to 11-11. As for Monadnock, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season.

Kearsarge does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Monadnock, they will challenge Gilford on Saturday. Gilford's defense has only allowed 29.1 points per game this season, so Monadnock's offense will have their work cut out for them.
