Baseball Recap: Monroe County Falcons vs. Barren County Trojans

Monroe County had lost three straight on the road, but on Thursday they dropped down to 9-8-1 to make it four. They lost 11-4 to the Barren County Trojans. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Trojans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 7-3 back in March.

Briar Bourque made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run and four RBI. That home run was his first of the season.

As for Barren County, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 9-10. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six contests by seven runs or more this season.

On Barren County's side, Price Thompson was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits.
