Football Recap: Union Farmers vs. Ridge Red Devil
Union was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They fell 24-13 to the Ridge Red Devil. The Farmers lost against the Red Devil in their previous head to head back in October of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 49-7 score last time.
Ridge had a senior duo take command as Toby Nicholson gained 185 total yards and two touchdowns and Sawyer Paul threw for 148 yards and two touchdowns on only 13 passes. Nicholson really caught the secondary sleeping when he pulled down a catch that went for 72 yards.
Union's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Ridge, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Union will welcome South Brunswick at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Ridge, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Hunterdon Central at 7:00 p.m.
