Basketball Recap: Destin Strauther Key Part of a Team Effort in Titans Win

Colony had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They managed a 60-55 win over the South Hills Huskies on Wednesday.

Colony's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Destin Strauther, who went 6 for 11 on his way to 17 points. Another player making a difference was Carter Johnson, who posted 11 points and seven rebounds.

Colony's win bumped their record up to 6-11. As for South Hills, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-14.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Colony will host San Dimas at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. San Dimas knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past five matches -- so hopefully Colony likes a good challenge. As for South Hills, they will be playing at home against AGBU at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. South Hills has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 179 points over their last three contests.
