Baseball Recap: Columbia Wildcats vs. Meridian Warriors

Columbia was the 12-2 winner over Meridian when they last played one another back in March of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. Columbia fell just short of Meridian by a score of 10-9 on Saturday. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Parker Harrison was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. On the mound, he struck out eight batters over 4.1 innings while giving up three earned (and four unearned) runs off six hits. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in April of 2024. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.

In other batting news, James Rodriguez was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring three runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Finley Stern also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.
