Softball Game Preview: Coshocton Redskins vs. Sheridan Generals

Coshocton is preparing for their first conference matchup of the season on Thursday. They will head out to take on the Sheridan Generals at 5:00 p.m. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

The home team had won the previous five meetings between Coshocton and Claymont, and Claymont kept the tradition alive. Coshocton might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 11-1 to Claymont, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Redskins have struggled against the Mustangs recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost meeting.

Meanwhile, Sheridan had to start their season on the road on Tuesday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They fell just short of Kenton Ridge by a score of 1-0.

Coshocton suffered a grim 24-1 defeat to Sheridan in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can Coshocton avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
