Baseball Game Preview: Cloverleaf Colts vs. Springfield Spartans

Cloverleaf has gone a perfect 5-0 against Springfield recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Colts will be playing at home against the Spartans at 5:00 p.m. Cloverleaf will be strutting in after a win while Springfield will be coming in after a loss.

While Cloverleaf didn't have the best season last year (they finished 6-12), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They came out on top against Coventry by a score of 5-1 on Tuesday. The victory continues a trend for the Colts in their matchups with the Comets: they've now won nine in a row.

Meanwhile, Springfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against Streetsboro, falling 10-2.

Springfield's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Cloverleaf, their win bumped their record up to 7-5.
