Softball Recap: Six Straight Road Victories for Malvern

While Malvern's victory against Bauxite wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Leopards sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 10-8 win over the Miners on Tuesday. The Leopards haven't had any issues with the Miners recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

The team relied heavily on Addi White, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. Hattie Davis was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run.

Malvern always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .541. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Bauxite only posted an OBP of .206.

Malvern pushed their record up to 20-5 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Bauxite, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 16-13 record this season.
