In what's become a running theme this season, the Durand Railroaders gave their fans yet another huge win on Tuesday. They blew past Byron 80-38 at home. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory Durand has managed all season.
Durand's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jakob Nebo, who scored 18 points along with seven rebounds and two steals. That's the first time this season that Nebo scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Darius Aldrich, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 13 rebounds.
Durand's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-4. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.5 points per game. As for Byron, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-9.
Durand will look to defend their home court on Friday against Hill-McCloy at 7:00 p.m. Byron's road trip will continue as they head out to face Lakeville at 7:00 p.m. on January 26th. Lakeville is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
