Soccer Recap: West Scranton Comes Up Short

While it was all tied up 1-1 at halftime, West Scranton was not quite Dunmore's equal in the second half on Wednesday. They came up short against the Bucks, falling 4-1. While losing is never fun, West Scranton can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania soccer rankings (they are ranked 442nd, while Dunmore are ranked 143rd).

West Scranton's goal came courtesy of Caleb Kane, who's now up to five this season.

This is the second loss in a row for West Scranton and nudges their season record down to 3-9. As for Dunmore, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season.

West Scranton wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next match, a 3-1 defeat against Mid Valley on the 6th. As for Dunmore, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next matchup, a 4-2 win against Gregory The Great Academy on the 6th.
