If Edgewood was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of North Putnam on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Mustangs fell 2-0 to the Jasper Wildcats on Saturday. The Mustangs' defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-13.

Jasper got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Caroline Schipp out in front who had six digs and five aces. That's the most aces Schipp has posted since back in October of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Nora Breitwieser, who had ten digs and two assists.

Edgewood's loss dropped their record down to 16-12. As for Jasper, the win was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 20-8.

Looking ahead, Edgewood will be playing in front of their home fans against Danville at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Jasper, they will host Silver Creek at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
