Baseball Game Preview: Desert Christian Academy Conquerors vs. San Jacinto Leadership Academy Lions

The Desert Christian Academy Conquerors will head out to challenge the San Jacinto Leadership Academy Lions at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses for Desert Christian Academy and ten for San Jacinto Leadership Academy.

On Wednesday, Desert Christian Academy came up short against Saint Jeanne de Lestonnac Catholic School and fell 10-6.

Judah Garrison was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Westin Abarrate, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Meanwhile, San Jacinto Leadership Academy scored first but ultimately less than Saint Jeanne de Lestonnac Catholic School in their contest on Monday. They fell 6-3 to the Mustangs.

Aiden Westover made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole three bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Jonathan McCafferty also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Desert Christian Academy's record now sits at 5-10. As for San Jacinto Leadership Academy, their record is now 0-10.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Friday as neither team is afraid to steal. Desert Christian Academy has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 2.9 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like San Jacinto Leadership Academy struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 2.8 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.

Everything went Desert Christian Academy's way against San Jacinto Leadership Academy when the teams last played back in March, as Desert Christian Academy made off with a 15-5 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Conquerors since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
