Softball Recap: Nipomo Titans vs. Avenal Buccaneers

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Nipomo had no problem doing just that on Friday. They blew past the Avenal Buccaneers 8-1. Nipomo might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won 12 games by seven runs or more this season.

Ava Camacho made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out ten over seven innings pitched. Camacho has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in eight consecutive pitching appearances. Camacho was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI.

In other batting news, Alie Camacho was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 4-for-5. Melania Ruelas was another key contributor, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.
