Volleyball Recap: Valley View Takes a Loss

Valley View was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Crestwood Comets.

While Valley View ultimately came up short, they really made Crestwood work, particularly in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 27-25, 25-11.

Despite the loss, Valley View still got an impressive performance from Layla Marino, who had seven digs and six aces. Hanarra Semedo-Timas was another key player, getting five blocks.

Valley View's loss dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Crestwood, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Valley View will host Western Wayne at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Crestwood, they will be playing at home against Hanover Area at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
