River Ridge has gone 7-2 against Hudson recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The River Ridge Royal Knights will venture away from home to take on the Hudson Cobras at 7:00 p.m. River Ridge's pitching crew has only allowed 1.8 runs per game this season, so Hudson's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
River Ridge was handed a heart-breaking two-run loss in their last game, but they sure didn't let that happen against Springstead on Thursday. River Ridge was the clear victors by an 8-1 margin over Springstead. Considering the Royal Knights have won three matchups by more than six runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Hagen Conner was a major factor no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched. Conner was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (three).
In other pitching news, Evan Handelong looked comfortable as he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits.
Back at the plate, the team relied heavily on Cameron Kessell, who scored two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March of 2024. Tommy DeLoreto also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.
Meanwhile, it may have taken nine innings to finish the job, but Hudson ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They came out on top against Anclote by a score of 15-10. With that win, the Cobras brought their scoring average up to 7.2 runs per game.
Caden Gillespie was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing four bases while getting on base in four of his six plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryder Tysko, who went 2-for-5 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.
Hudson kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
With the victory, River Ridge broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-3. As for Hudson, their record is now 2-3.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Tuesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. River Ridge has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 9.2 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Hudson struggles in that department as they've been averaging 9.2 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
River Ridge suffered a grim 13-3 defeat to Hudson in their previous matchup back in March of 2023. Can River Ridge avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
