Aragon was handed a ten-run defeat in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Half Moon Bay Cougars, sneaking past 6-5. The victory continues a trend for the Dons in their matchups with the Cougars: they've now won four in a row.

Aragon's win was truly a team effort as eight different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Josh Jacobs, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI. That's the most RBI Jacobs has posted since back in May of 2024. Another was Saxon Lucia, who got on base in all five of his plate appearances with one RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Aragon kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Aragon's victory bumped their record up to 8-15. As for Half Moon Bay, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-15 record this season.

Aragon will have a chance to go back-to-back against Half Moon Bay: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
