It was a good run, but Mount Miguel unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took a 58-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Helix Highlanders. The matchup was a 26-26 toss-up at halftime, but the Matadors couldn't quite close it out.

Mount Miguel's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jamell Willey, who almost dropped a double-double on 15 points and nine boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Jerome Radcliff, who posted 12 points.

Mount Miguel's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-10. As for Helix, their victory bumped their record up to 7-16.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mount Miguel has already played their next game (against Monte Vista), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Helix is taking a road trip to face off against El Capitan at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Helix is facing El Capitan at the right time seeing as El Capitan is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
