Baseball Recap: Mesa Comes Up Short on the Road Against Poston Butte

Mesa kicked off their season on the road on Wednesday and hit a couple of potholes. They fell just short of the Poston Butte Broncos by a score of 6-5. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it six in a row.

Mesa saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Chase Gilmore, who went 1-for-4 with one home run. Gerardo Sanchez was another, going 2-for-3 with two RBI.

Looking ahead, Mesa will square off against Williams Field at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
