Basketball Recap: Aurora Central's Win on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Aurora Central ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They secured a 60-55 W over the Adams City Eagles. Winning may never get old, but the Trojans sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Aurora Central's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Christ Tah, who went 10 of 13 en route to 20 points and five boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Alejandro (Alex) Flores, who posted ten points along with seven rebounds and five assists.

Aurora Central was working as a unit and finished the game with 21 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in December of 2023.

Despite the loss, Adams City still got an impressive performance from Jojo Martinez, who went 9 for 19 on his way to 28 points. Asiah Garcia was another key player, putting up eight points and eight boards.

Aurora Central is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.2 points per game. As for Adams City, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-12 record this season.
