Softball Recap: Sherrard Tigers vs. Mercer County Golden Eagles
Sherrard had lost six straight on the road, but on Monday they dropped down to 7-6 to make it seven. They fell just short of the Mercer County Golden Eagles by a score of 5-3. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Golden Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2025.
Sherrard saw nine different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ava Stanley, who went 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Another was Makenzy Moran, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double.
