Volleyball Recap: Mount Paran Christian Takes a Loss

Mount Paran Christian was the 2-1 winner over Blessed Trinity when they last played one another back in September of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Eagles took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Titans on Tuesday. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

While Mount Paran Christian ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 17 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-20.

Layla Dunn paced Mount Paran Christian's offense, picking up three kills. Dunn got some help from Kendahl Baxter and her 11 assists. Baxter was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Blessed Trinity was led to victory by Abby Woodward and Allie DeWeese. Woodward had 11 digs and three assists, while DeWeese had eight assists and three digs.

Mount Paran Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Blessed Trinity, their win was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-0.

Mount Paran Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Harrison on the 14th. As for Blessed Trinity, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against St. Pius X Catholic on the 14th.
