Orono had already won eight in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.9 points) and they went ahead and made it nine on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Hermon Hawks by a score of 56-49. This was a revenge game for the Riots: when they faced off against the Hawks back in December of 2024, they had to take a 44-25 defeat.

Orono's record is now 15-5. As for Hermon, they dropped their record down to 8-10 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Orono will take on Ellsworth at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hermon has already played their next match (against Washington Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
