Baseball Game Preview: Pompano Beach Golden Tornadoes vs. Everglades Gators

The Pompano Beach Golden Tornadoes will venture away from home to take on the Everglades Gators at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Pompano Beach has now lost eight straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since March 7.

Pompano Beach lost 13-2 to Taravella on Monday.

Jonathon Caianiello made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one RBI.

Meanwhile, Everglades came up short against Pembroke Pines Charter on Friday, falling 13-4.

Pedro Duran was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-2. Alex Mota was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.

Pompano Beach's defeat dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Everglades, their loss dropped their record down to 9-9.

Everything went Pompano Beach's way against Everglades in their previous meeting back in April of 2023, as Pompano Beach made off with a 16-1 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Golden Tornadoes since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
