Soccer Game Preview: Signal Mountain vs. Chattanooga Prep

The Signal Mountain Eagles will challenge the Chattanooga Prep Sentinels at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Signal Mountain comes in on three and Chattanooga Prep on four.

Last Tuesday, Signal Mountain was able to grind out a solid victory over Red Bank, taking the game 3-1.

Meanwhile, Chattanooga Prep kept a clean sheet against Silverdale Academy on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Seahawks by a score of 2-0. The final result isn't all the surprising considering Chattanooga Prep's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee soccer rankings (they are ranked 114th, while Silverdale Academy are ranked 255th).

Adrick Hall and Aaron Perez scored both of Chattanooga Prep's goals, bringing their combined season tally to seven goals.

Chattanooga Prep's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-4. Those home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 22 goals over those four matches. As for Signal Mountain, their win bumped their record up to 8-4-1.

Signal Mountain took their victory against Chattanooga Prep in their previous matchup back in March of 2023 by a conclusive 6-0 score. Do the Eagles have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Sentinels turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
