Basketball Recap: Monacan Extends Winning Streak to Four

Monacan extended their winning streak to four games thanks to a huge performance from Amare Cooper. The Monacan Chiefs managed a 59-55 win over the Manchester Lancers on Monday thanks in part to Cooper, who shot 6-for-10 from downtown and almost dropped a double-double on 33 points and nine boards. Those nine boards gave him a new career-high.

Monacan's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-1. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.5 points per game. As for Manchester, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 4-4.

Monacan will challenge Huguenot at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Manchester, they will square off against Cosby at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
