Softball Recap: Harmony Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Victory

Harmony extended their winning streak to four on Wednesday, bumping them up to 7-6. Everything went their way against the Bayside Bears as they made off with a 12-2 win. That looming 12-2 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Longhorns yet this season.

The team relied heavily on Emerson Aslan, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Noelle Lia Santiago, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Harmony was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .423. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Bayside only posted a batting average of .250.

As for Bayside, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-5. Having soared to a lofty 22 runs in the game before, they couldn't push the score so high this time.

On Bayside's side, they saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was JORDYN MILO, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double.

Coming up, Harmony will square off against Lake Minneola at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Longhorns' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Hawks have averaged an impressive 8.5 runs per game this season. As for Bayside, they will face off against Titusville at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Terriers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 12.09 runs per game on average), something the Bears will no doubt try to take advantage of.
