Maxwell lost against Hayfork back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Panthers fell 62-58 to the Timberjacks. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

When it comes to explaining why Maxwell lost, don't look at Vincent Orozco. Despite the final result, he posted 24 points along with six rebounds and four steals. With that strong performance, Orozco is now averaging an impressive 15.7 points per game. Another player making a difference was Macklin Kuska, who almost dropped a double-double with ten points and nine boards.

Maxwell's loss dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Hayfork, they pushed their record up to 3-2 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Maxwell will head out to challenge Adventure Christian at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. Hayfork will take on Plumas Charter in a holiday battle at 12:30 p.m. on Friday.
