Basketball Preview: Lemoore Tigers vs. Tulare Western Mustangs
The Lemoore Tigers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Tulare Western Mustangs at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Lemoore is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Mustangs in California (the Tigers are ranked 284th, while the Mustangs are ranked 593rd).
Last Thursday, things could have been worse for Lemoore, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 63-49 loss to the Emperors.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Kobe Green, who scored 11 points along with six assists and four steals. He has been hot recently, having posted four or more steals the last six times he's played. Another player making a difference was Kaden Lopes, who scored nine points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, even though Hanford scored an imposing 57 points on Thursday, Tulare Western still came out on top. Tulare Western sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 60-57 victory over the Bullpups.
Lemoore's defeat dropped their record down to 18-9. As for Tulare Western, the win got them back to even at 13-13.
Lemoore took their win against the Mustangs in their previous meeting back in January by a conclusive 76-54. Will Lemoore repeat their success, or do the Mustangs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
