Baseball Game Preview: Kennett Eagles vs. Kingswood Knights

The Kennett Eagles will head out on the road to face off against the Kingswood Knights at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Kennett will be strutting in after a victory while Kingswood will be coming in after a defeat.

Kennett will bounce into Friday's match after beating Coe-Brown Academy, who they had gone 1-7 against in their eight prior meetings. The Eagles put the hurt on the Bears with a sharp 8-1 win on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 14 runs the game before, Kingswood was a bit more limited in their contest on Wednesday. They fell just short of Stark by a score of 1-0. The game marked the first time this year in which the Knights were not able to get on the board.

Kennett is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-9 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.5 runs on average over those games. As for Kingswood, they moved to 10-3 with that loss, which also ended their five-game winning streak.

Kennett came out on top in a nail-biter against Kingswood in their previous matchup on May 5th, sneaking past 9-8. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
