Baseball Recap: Point Pleasant Boro Takes a Loss

After flying high against Toms River North last Thursday, Point Pleasant Boro came back down to earth. The Panthers fell 10-7 to the Rumson-Fair Haven Bulldogs on Saturday. The Panthers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bulldogs apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2018.

James Bradley made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run and one stolen base.

Point Pleasant Boro now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Rumson-Fair Haven, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-3.

Looking ahead, Point Pleasant Boro will square off against Point Pleasant Beach at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. The Garnet Gulls will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Panthers surely won't give up without a fight. As for Rumson-Fair Haven, they will challenge Monmouth Regional at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
