Softball Recap: Spring Woods' Victory on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Spring Woods entered their tilt with Madison on Friday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past the Marlins 18-1. The Tigers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight contests by nine runs or more this season.

Spring Woods' victory was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Maria Garcia, who scored two runs while going 1-for-1. Another was Liliana Gonzalez, who scored two runs while getting on base in both of her plate appearances.

Spring Woods' win bumped their record up to 10-14. As for Madison, they are on a 19-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-12.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Spring Woods will face off against rival Sterling at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Madison is set to take on their familiar foe Waltrip at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
