Copper Canyon saw some tournament action on Thursday. They blew past the Cactus Cobras 10-2.

Copper Canyon let Anthony Acosta Livas and Dariany Flores run wild. Acosta Livas scored three runs and stole a base while going 4-for-4, while Flores went 2-for-4 with two triples, two RBI, and one run. What's more, Acosta Livas posted four hits, the most he's had since back in March of 2024. Nicholas Encinas was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-2.

Copper Canyon always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .677. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Cactus only posted an OBP of .333.

The victory got Copper Canyon back to even at 1-1-1. As for Cactus, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Coming up, Copper Canyon will head out to challenge Desert Edge at 6:00 p.m. on March 7th. As for Cactus, they will be taking part in a tournament against Blue Ridge at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
