Basketball Recap: Scotland Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Scotland Christian Academy played a tough contest on Monday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were outmatched by the Wilmington Christian Academy Patriots and fell 93-34. The Saints were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 50-22.

Several Saints players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Landon Wallace, who posted 13 points. That was a full 38.2% of Scotland Christian Academy's points, marking the third time in a row Wallace has had more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Frankie McIntyre, who put up six points and five boards.

Wilmington Christian Academy was led to victory by Ryan McConekey and Parker Brown. McConekey dropped a double-double with 17 points and ten rebounds, while Brown shot 62% from the field to rack up 19 points and five boards. Those 19 points gave Brown a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Trent Davies, who went 5-for-10 on his way to 12 points and three steals.

Scotland Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Wilmington Christian Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-2 record this season.

After both having extra time off, Scotland Christian Academy and Greenville Christian Academy will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:00 p.m. on January 6, 2026. As for Wilmington Christian Academy, they will be home for the holidays to greet Southeastern Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Patriots' defense better be ready for this one: the Warriors have averaged an impressive 65.5 points per game this season.
