Football Game Preview: Pocola Indians vs. Pawnee Black Bears + Official Tickets

The Pocola Indians will be playing in front of their home fans against the Pawnee Black Bears at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are strolling into their contests after big wins in their previous games.

Pawnee will be up against a hot Pocola team: the squad just extended their winning streak to five. The Indians blew past Haskell, posting a 64-6 win. The Indians might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matchups by 28 points or more this season.

It was another big night for Jaseir Posey, who threw for 367 yards and six TDs while picking up 13.6 yards per attempt, and also rushed for 80 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only nine carries. What's more, he posted two rushing touchdowns, the most he's had since back in September of 2024. A healthy portion of Posey's aerial production (161 yards to be exact) went to Logan Dunigan, who also brought in two receiving touchdowns.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Pocola was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 230 rushing yards. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 78.4 rushing yards per game earlier this season, but in their last five games they've averaged 198.7.

Meanwhile, Pawnee never let their opponents score on Friday. They blew past Oklahoma Union 50-0. The Black Bears haven't had any issues with the Cougars recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Pocola's record is now 8-2. As for Pawnee, their record now sits at 7-3.
