Softball Recap: North Bullitt Eagles vs. DuPont Manual Crimsons
North Bullitt was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took an 8-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the DuPont Manual Crimsons. The result was an unpleasant reminder to North Bullitt of the 17-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2023.
For DuPont Manual's part, Olivia Kunkle looked comfortable as she pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (she also didn't allow any walks).
On the hitting side, Jordyn McAlmont was excellent, going 1-for-3 with a home run and three RBI. Bailey Fetcher was another key contributor, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in two of her three plate appearances.
North Bullitt's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for DuPont Manual, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 4-2.
North Bullitt will head out on the road to square off against Collins at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Collins is coming into the matchup with three straight losses at home, meaning North Bullitt will have to defend against a squad hungry for a win. DuPont Manual will take on Denmark at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
