Volleyball Recap: Berkeley Stags vs. Wando Warriors
If Berkeley was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Goose Creek on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Stags came up short against the Wando Warriors on Thursday, falling 3-0. The Stags were not able to make up for their defeat to the Warriors from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.
Berkeley took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-13, 25-16, 25-18.
Ava Baker paced Berkeley's offense, picking up ten kills. Baker got some help from Joanna Villeponteaux and her nine assists. Finally, Imani Levey kept Berkeley's defense grounded, leading the team with three blocks.
Berkeley dropped their record down to 2-11 with the loss, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. As for Wando, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-6.
