Soccer Recap: Barbour County Takes a Loss

Barbour County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 10-0 to the Houston Academy Raiders. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Jaguars of the 12-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

Barbour County's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Houston Academy, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 11-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Barbour County will welcome Pike County at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Houston Academy, they will look to defend their home pitch on Thursday against Northside Methodist Academy at 7:00 p.m. One thing working in Houston Academy's favor is that they have posted at least four goals in their last six matchups.
