Volleyball Recap: Georgetown Triumphs

Georgetown proved they can win big two weeks ago (they won by three) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Hannah-Pamplico Raiders 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Bulldogs have posted since August 29, 2024.

Georgetown was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. The match finished with set scores of 22-25, 25-18, 18-25, 25-16, 18-16.

Georgetown's win bumped their record up to 4-10. As for Hannah-Pamplico, they dropped their record down to 3-9 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.

Looking ahead, Georgetown will venture away from home to square off against Carvers Bay at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Hannah-Pamplico, they will take on Johnsonville at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Flashes will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Raiders surely won't give up without a fight.
