Basketball Game Preview: Gorham Fayette Eagles vs. Edgerton Bulldogs

The Gorham Fayette Eagles will venture away from home to square off against the Edgerton Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Gorham Fayette will bounce into Monday's match after beating Stryker, who they had gone 0-9 against in their nine prior meetings. Gorham Fayette secured a 35-29 W over Stryker on Friday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Eagles.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Edgerton). They were the clear victor by a 67-42 margin over Hicksville on Thursday. The team's explosion on offense also rewarded the Bulldogs with their most commanding win of the season.

Edgerton's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-7. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.4 points per game. As for Gorham Fayette, their win bumped their record up to 5-6.

Gorham Fayette might still be hurting after the 63-41 loss they got from Edgerton in their previous meeting back in February of 2024. Can Gorham Fayette avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
