Soccer Recap: Arete Prep Takes a Loss

Arete Prep was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were one goals away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Poston Butte Broncos. The CHARGERS were not able to make up for their loss to the Broncos from their previous meeting back in January of 2018.

Owen Whitehead wasn't going to let Poston Butte walk away unscathed as he scored both of Arete Prep's goals, bringing his season total up to eight goals.

Arete Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Poston Butte, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-3.

Arete Prep didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against McClintock on the 4th. As for Poston Butte, they will take on Maricopa at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
