Football Recap: Arundel Snaps Seven-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

If Arundel was riding high fresh off their 34-13 takedown of Glen Burnie last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Wildcats took a 22-14 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Severna Park Falcons on Friday. The Wildcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Falcons apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2019.

Despite the loss, Arundel still got an impressive performance from Naseem Tention, who rushed for 130 yards and two scores, and also threw for 110 yards on 13 of 19 attempts.

Arundel's loss ended a seven-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 5-2. As for Severna Park, they pushed their record up to 5-2 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Arundel will host Crofton at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Severna Park, they will be playing in front of their home fans against North County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Falcons will be up against the Knights' rather soft defense (which has allowed 41.29 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
